Lactation Consulting Services

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using this website, submitting a contact form, booking a service, or providing your personal information, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this website or our services.

These Terms apply to all visitors, clients, and others who access or use our lactation consulting services, whether provided in-home or virtually.

 

2. Services Provided

We offer professional lactation consulting services including, but not limited to:

  • In-home lactation consultations

  • Virtual/telehealth lactation consultations via video call

  • Breastfeeding education and support

  • Prenatal breastfeeding preparation

  • Newborn feeding assessment and guidance

 

Our services are provided by a, International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. Lactation consulting is a supportive and educational service. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your physician, midwife, or pediatrician for medical concerns.

 

3. Appointments & Cancellation Policy

Scheduling

Appointments may be scheduled through our website contact form, by phone, or by email. Confirmation of your appointment will be sent upon booking.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that circumstances change, especially around the time of a new baby. We kindly ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. No-shows without notice may be charged the full session fee. We reserve the right to waive fees at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.

 

4. Information We Collect

When you use our contact forms or sign up for our email list, we may collect the following personal information:

  • Full name

  • Phone number

  • Email address

  • Estimated due date (EDD)

  • Date of birth (DOB) of your baby

  • ZIP code

 

This information is collected solely for the purpose of scheduling and providing our lactation consulting services, communicating with you about your care, and, where consent has been given, sending you email marketing communications.

 

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To contact you regarding your appointment or inquiry

  • To personalize and improve your care experience

  • To send appointment reminders and follow-up communications

  • To send marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional content (only with your consent)

  • To comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements

 

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for any purpose other than those listed above without your explicit consent.

 

6. Email Marketing

By submitting your email address and opting in to our mailing list, you consent to receive periodic emails from us, which may include:

  • Educational content related to infant feeding

 

You may unsubscribe from our email list at any time by clicking the 'Unsubscribe' link at the bottom of any marketing email or by contacting us directly. Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not affect transactional communications related to your appointments or care.

 

7. HIPAA Compliance & Privacy of Health Information

We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your health information in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and applicable state privacy laws.

Protected Health Information (PHI)

Any health-related information you share with us — including information about your pregnancy, your baby, or your breastfeeding journey — is treated as Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA. We use and disclose PHI only as permitted or required by law, including for the purpose of providing you with lactation consulting services.

Our Obligations

We are required by law to:

  • Maintain the privacy and security of your PHI

  • Provide you with notice of our privacy practices

  • Notify you in the event of a breach of your unsecured PHI

  • Abide by the terms of our Notice of Privacy Practices

 

A full copy of our Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) is available upon request. By using our services, you acknowledge receipt of our privacy practices.

Telehealth & Virtual Consultations

Virtual consultations are conducted using HIPAA-compliant video platforms. You should conduct virtual sessions in a private location. We cannot guarantee the security of sessions conducted in public or shared spaces.

Disclosure Limitations

We will not disclose your PHI to third parties without your written authorization, except as required by law (e.g., mandatory reporting obligations, court orders, or public health activities).

 

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable and appropriate physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your personal information and PHI from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmitting data over the internet or storing it electronically is 100% secure.

You provide information to us at your own risk. We encourage you to take steps to protect your personal information online, such as using a secure internet connection when submitting contact forms.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

 

12. Client Responsibilities

By engaging our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about yourself and your baby

  • Inform us of any relevant medical conditions, medications, or contraindications

  • Follow up with your healthcare provider for medical advice and treatment

  • Ensure a safe and accessible environment for in-home visits

  • Treat our consultants with respect and professionalism

By submitting a contact form on our website, you consent to being contacted by us via phone, text, or email for the purposes of scheduling, service delivery, and communication related to your inquiry. Standard messaging rates may apply for text communications.
